About the Project

The STEMz Project was created in 2021 to engage students in exploring a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). We understand that to excite kids into exploring these careers, it’s critical to expose them to learning and activities early on in their development.

Our Mission

The STEMz Project mission is to be a catalyst for local science and technology incubation and innovation, uniting the business community to showcase local STEM opportunities.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become the largest driving force of equitable opportunity and access for students in Indiana to deepen their knowledge in the areas of STEM.

The Partners Behind the Project

RISE Foundation

Project Host

The Zionsville RISE (Reveal Ideas, Shape Endeavors) Foundation was created to encourage sustainable environmental practices within area businesses, enrich our community through business diversification and diversity within those businesses, and foster sustainable business success through lifelong learning and education.

Zionsville Chamber of Commerce

Co-Founder

The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 60 years of advocating, educating, and connecting businesses in the greater Zionsville area. Their mission is to make Zionsville an economic leader in central Indiana and to enhance their members’ success through advocacy, member benefits, and services.

The Chamber of Commerce has committed to providing programming for their community in the form of community events like Brick Street Market (artisan market), Night on the Bricks (street dining started during 2020), Christmas in the Village, and more. Their ever-expanding catalog of community events serves as an economic engine for tourism and increased traffic for local businesses. They work closely with the Convention and Visitors Bureau and other local businesses to showcase the number one tourist destination in Boone County and encourage event attendance.

Their events are not only a community staple for guests who have attended for years, but they are vital in supporting local small businesses. The increased traffic that comes from events, and residual traffic that returns because of an initial event visit, are quantifiable and measurable. They hear from businesses that events are imperative to driving traffic. They are pleased to participate in this important part of the tourism and business engagement process.
